Getting started
MyIDToken is a service that allows you to easily find out another person’s name or verify your own name for another.
We use the Internet more and more to communicate with each other. And it’s often important to really know who we’re communicating with. Whether it’s trading, contract, business or even dating or some other identification needs.
For example, buying a second-hand luxury handbag from an online market may feel daring. How do you know that after receiving money, the seller wouldn’t just disappear without sending the product? In case of other situations, without knowing their identity, how could you trust someone to make some deals, to employ, to date, etc? If you know the real name of them, there would be no such concern.
It’s time to gain the trust back in using the Internet with MyIDToken!
MyIDToken is a service that build trust between people. In this service, you can create your own ID tokens that proves your identity to other people. Here we use your real name as the identity. Additionally, you may receive the ID token from another person and verify his/her legal name. Here we use the official registered name of the user as the identity. Simple as that!
Verifying the real name using the ID token creates a higher degree of trustworthiness. MyIDToken provides the service to prove the identity of the users to avoid fraudulent activities. Moreover, this service can be used to improve your online business by providing a level of assurance involved in business transaction through verifying the name of a party involved.
This is how easy the service is
Let's say you need to know the identity of person X. Maybe you know only his/her email address and the name it displays. Or Facebook profile. Both of these can be easily fake or tampered.
Note: Before creating the first ID Token person X must identify himself/herself by using bank authentication. This is how the real name is extracted and stored securely.
Note: Each ID Token can last for a customised time, but be used only ONCE. You need to create a new ID Token for every new identification.

If you have not yet authenticated with bank or mobile authentication, please do it now
Select 'Create token'
Fill token information
Description
Description is the way to ensure that your ID Token is not passed forward to any 3rd party. This is shown to Token verifier after a successful verification. The description will help to make sure the business is between only 2 parties who have connected to each other. Good descriptions could be for example 'handbag seller bestdeal123@gmail.com'. Description is needed for all ID Tokens, except the ones with very short expiration (10 minutes).
Token expiration
If you have e.g. chat or phone connection to the token verifier then you can choose even the shortest expiration which is 10 minutes. However, if you need to pass token by email and you are not sure when the token verifier will receive and process it, it's better to choose a longer expiration (up to 2 days). In this case, you need to fill the token description.
That's all. You can see new token info immediately and it is also available from 'Token list' in the menu selection. Because tokens are created randomly, you can create a new one if the first token phrase is hard to pronounce or does not appeal to you for any other reasons.
How to verify other person's ID Token (as a Token verifier)
Login to MyIDToken service
If you have not yet entered your payment card information please do it now
Select 'Verify token'
Enter the ID Token of sent by the Token creator
Service will then display the Token creator real name. Take a note of the name to somewhere else as the names are not stored in the service for later use. After the successful verification, the verification fee will be charged from your account. Your account uninvoiced costs is visible from the profile page.
If the ID Token was expired, deleted or entered wrongly, the name cannot be displayed. In this case no verification fee will be charged.
